Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) began the New Year with an ad for his 2024 reelection campaign, invoking former President Ronald Reagan and saying America must "cowboy up and fight like hell" to reclaim its values.

"We’re losing our country because of Democrats’ radical agenda. Prices and crime are soaring. The border is wide open. Millions of Americans can no longer afford a home. It’s time to cowboy up and turn our country around," Sen. Scott tweeted.

"If Ronald Reagan were here right now, he would say, 'What the hell have you guys done to my great country?" the ad opened, with Sen. Scott then listing off various problems such as the border crisis, inflation, the Ukraine war, the Afghanistan withdrawal, the transgender debate, and student loan forgiveness.

"The game is now rigged against hardworking Americans who still believe in this country, believe in God, and the American values of hard work, patriotism, and self-reliance," Scott continued, adding, "This is not a fight for the faint of heart, it is not a fight for the weak. We are losing our country. It is time to cowboy up and fight like hell to turn this country around. We can do it. Make no mistake, we will do it."

Scott first announced his reelection bid the previous January, after clarifying he was not seeking a Presidential run amidst speculation.

In August, Florida Democrats unified around a challenger, former Representative Debbie Mucarsel-Powell. In an interview with The Floridian, Scott pointed out that the former Congresswoman "voted 100% with Nancy Pelosi" despite her portrayal as a centrist and moderate.

"Centrist? That was only for the campaign. Not when [she] voted. She voted 100% with Nancy Pelosi. So, that story, that’s just for the campaign," Scott told The Floridian.

Early in December, former President Donald Trump, who remains the most popular Republican candidate for the 2024 Presidential Election, endorsed Scott's reelection to the Senate in a praising statement.

"I have known Rick for a long time, as both a businessman and great Governor of FLORIDA, and there are very few like him!" Trump wrote on Truth Social, adding that Senator Scott is "strong on the Border, Crime, our Great Military/Vets, our Second Amendment, and the only person who has been willing to take on the very destructive Super RINO, Mitch McConnell."

Two weeks later, Mucarsel-Powell landed an endorsement of her own from Representative Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL).

As 2024 Republican primary candidates scramble to take down former President Donald Trump (R), the road ahead just got a lot steeper as US Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) has just endorsed the former president's campaign.

Scalise is currently the House Majority Leader for Republicans and was a favorite to replace US Rep. Kevin McCarthy after being ousted as Speaker of the House.  Scalise was initially hesitant on who to support in 2024 but solidified his choice in Donald Trump today.

"When Donald Trump was President, American workers and families were thriving.  The economy was strong and interest rates were low — grocery costs were affordable, and families could afford to buy a house and provide for their children," Scalise continued. "The border was secure and crime was down. America had secure energy policies, keeping gas and utility prices low," stated Scalise.

Scalise also got his digs in on President Biden (D), "[Biden] has driven our country into chaos with skyrocketing costs, and hardworking taxpayers are the ones paying the price," and that under his administration, "gas prices more than doubled, housing affordability reached all-time lows, mortgage rates doubled, inflation hit the highest level in 40 years, and interest rates are at the highest level in 22 years."

The Louisiana Congressman certainly feels the moment is right for Trump, as he stated Americans need "a strong leader to fix the problems Joe Biden has created and — with rising aggression from adversaries abroad — deter foreign actors who wish to harm us," noting the "over 6.2 million encounters at the southern border" and the "1.7 million known gotaways" coming and being arrested from "hundreds of countries," not just Latin America.

President Joe Biden (D) and his challenger, former President Donald Trump (R) exchanged jabs with each other on New Year's Eve through their respective celebrations.

President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden spent the New Year at St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands.  In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, the host of this year's Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve show, Biden seemed confident about the upcoming election and bragged about his accomplishments, "[the American people] understand that we’re in a better position than any country in the world to lead the world. We’re coming back, and it’s about time."

Biden went on to talk about job numbers claiming, "People are in a position to be able to making a living now, and they’ve created a lot of jobs for over 14 million."

Trump made his New Year's statement in typical Trump fashion by taking to Truth Social.  Surprisingly, Trump wished Biden a happy new year, "As the New Year fast approaches, I would like to wish an early New Year’s salutation to Crooked Joe Biden and his group of Radical Left Misfits & Thugs on their never ending attempt to DESTROY OUR NATION through Lawfare, Invasion, and Rigging Elections," stated Trump.

Although both sides have put on a confident front about their odds in this year's election, the polls tell a radically different story.  Polling averages compiled by FiveThirtyEight reflect that only 39% of Americans approve of Biden’s performance, with 55% disapproving – this number has doubled in the past year.

Trump on the other hand faces legal challenges through his arrests that he is still fighting from 2023, and the subsequent attempts to remove him from primary ballots across the nation.

Maine has become the second state to remove former President Donald Trump from its primary ballot, sparking outrage among the right. Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) appeared on Fox News's Ingraham Angle to discuss, saying the decision "opens up Pandora's Box" and suggested such moves are a means to distract voters from Biden's polling numbers and policies.

"The idea that one bureaucrat in an executive position can simply unilaterally disqualify someone from office. That turns on its head every notion of constitutional due process that this country has always abided by for over 200 years. It opens up Pandora's Box," said Gov. DeSantis, adding that a Republican Secretary of State can remove President Biden from their state's ballot by the same logic for his handling of the border crisis, which could be interpreted as knowingly aiding and abetting our enemies.

While Maine's decision is not likely to stand by the U.S. Supreme Court, Gov. DeSantis suggested similar events about Trump's legal cases will occur throughout the coming election year because Democrats "do not want to face accountability for their failed policies," similar to comments made by Representative Cory Mills (R-FL), who has said actions have intentionally been taken against Trump shortly after damning information about Joe and Hunter Biden has been revealed.

Substitute host Jason Chaffetz asked what the Republican Party and other primary candidates should do next.

DeSantis answered that if he wins the Republican nomination, he "will be able to keep the focus on the Democratic failures, but then more importantly, after you win the election, start holding these people accountable who have weaponized the legal system to go after their political enemies. And that starts on day one, firing somebody like Jack Smith that goes to dealing with people who are violating constitutional rights at the state and local government area. Republicans have turned a blind eye to abuses of power for too long," DeSantis concluded.

Trump continues to dominate in the polls, and this latest removal will likely make the point spread even wider.

Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows has removed former President Donald Trump (R) from the state’s primary ballot, citing the U.S. Constitution’s 14th Amendment “insurrection” provision.

Bellows served as a Democratic state senator before being selected by the state legislature to serve as the Secretary of State. In 2014 she ran for the U.S. Senate but lost to incumbent and current Senator Susan Collins (R-ME), according to Ballotpedia.

The Trump campaign released a statement regarding the decision.

According to The Hill, Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung mentioned that this move is “a disenfranchisement” of the American people.

“We are witnessing, in real-time, the attempted theft of an election and the disenfranchisement of the American voter,” spokesman Steven Cheung said in a statement. “Make no mistake, these partisan election interference efforts are a hostile assault on American democracy.”

Florida Governor and presidential candidate Ron DeSantis (R-FL) provided his thoughts during an appearance on Fox News. He questioned the idea of “one bureaucrat” deciding who can and cannot appear on a ballot.

"It opens up Pandora's Box. Can you have a Republican Secretary of State disqualify Biden from the ballot? Because he's let in 8 million people illegally, a massive invasion," said Gov. DeSantis. He also stated, "We win when we hold Biden accountable and talk about the issues that matter to the American people."

Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis commented on the Trump ruling in Maine and even called for an investigation by the Department of Justice.

“I am immediately calling for an investigation by the Department of Justice into Civil Rights violations. We all know that if a Red State did this to Biden they’d dispatch the FBI all over the place…” said CFO Patronis.

On Dec. 19, Colorado took the same action against the 45th President when the state’s supreme court voted 4-3 to deny Trump from the state primary.

According to Ballotpediathe Colorado Supreme Court is the 16th most liberal court in the United States. It does not have a single right-leaning justice. All justices are either considered an “Intermediate,” a “Mild Democrat,” or a “Strong Democrat.”

This is a developing story.

With just weeks away before the Iowa Caucus, the candidates in the 2024 Republican Presidential Primary not named President Donald Trump do not seem to be gaining any real traction. Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who is in a (distant) second to Trump, has been under the most scrutiny, and rumors of his campaign's suspension are swirling again.

The Washington Examiner reported that Ryan Tyson, a long-time adviser of Gov. DeSantis, has supposedly said the campaign is in the "make the patient comfortable" stage, a phrase used for a person in hospice care.

However, Gov. DeSantis's communications director, Andrew Romeo, denied the quote, dismissing Tyson's remark as the "same media hit job based on unnamed sources with agendas" and said DeSantis has come out against the odds before, and the campaign will do so again in January.

Matt Gorman and Tim Hogan, political strategists for Targeted Victory and Arc Initiatives, respectively, discussed the supposed Tyson quote on Fox News's Faulkner Focus. Gorman said the issue is ultimately up to the voters.

"I think with two weeks to go, Tim [Hogan] and I both spent time on presidential campaigns. I think, at this point, it is with the voters. It is for them to make that call. The morning after voting, whether it is the day after Iowa for someone like DeSantis or Vivek [Ramaswamy] or New Hampshire with someone like [Chris] Christie, if they do not meet expectations, they will have to make some hard decisions, and they should do it quickly," said Gorman.

Hogan, meanwhile, agreed with Donald Trump in saying DeSantis's campaign has been "falling like an ailing bird from the sky" and called him "Ted Cruz without the personality instead of Trump without the drama which we were promised."

"I think he is going to stay until Iowa. He needs a first or a very good second-place finish in order to continue, in order for this campaign to go on," Hogan concluded.

The Floridian has chronicled the troubled history of DeSantis's campaign and Never Back Down super PAC, which saw multiple members quit or fired in a short span of months, and the latest Real Clear Politics poll update puts Donald Trump at an average of 51 points ahead of DeSantis.

Will Tyson's supposed remark become a self-fulfilling prophecy as Romeo's becomes self-defeating?

The Israeli -Hamas conflict has become the United States' biggest foreign policy issue in the past three years.  However, the conflict has impacted voting in the United States in a way many would not expect, with young people siding with former President Trump (R) on the issue over President Joe Biden (D).

The United States has been a long-standing ally of the state of Israel since its inception in the 1940s.  Liberal and conservative presidential administrations alike have reaffirmed support for Israel throughout the region in different ways.  However, the issue has become partisan for voters this time.

Young Americans have been a sure voting block for Democrats in recent decades, but the 18-29 age group solidly prefers Donald Trump when it comes to the current conflict in Gaza.  According to a New York Times/Siena College poll released on Tuesday, 72% of registered voters aged 18-29 disapprove of Biden's handling of the conflict.

Since young people virtually always show up to the polls for Democrats on Election Day, this issue may be critical for President Biden to tackle as Trump now leads this demographic of voters overall by 6 points among registered voters aged 18-29 years old. In July of 2023, Biden led voters in this age group by 10 points.

Last presidential election, exit polls showed Biden winning this age group by 21%.  Among all registered voters Trump holds a narrow 2% to Biden, which may be tight, but is greater than what might be expected if the 2020 election was used as a reference to predict 2024.

While this may be good news for Donald Trump, not all of the numbers are in this Republican's favor.  A recent poll has found that around 40% of Jewish Israelis support Joe Biden, and only about a quarter want to see Trump take office again.  This number used to be in Trump's favor with 63% in 2020, and 17% backing Biden.

This creates ambiguity as to whether Biden is handling the crisis in the Middle East well.  The numbers could also be due to Trump's odd and newfound rivalry with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who Trump is reported to have called to be impeached following the October 7th massacre.

The Florida Democratic Party has effectively canceled their primary race by only putting Biden's name on the ballot, despite challengers rising against the president in his own party.

In 2020, former President Donald Trump (R) faced a primary challenge from long-shot candidates himself.  Although not heavily reported, President Trump blew these Republican challengers out of the water.  Even this primary cycle, he will most likely do it again to even more prominent Republicans like Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL).

Democrats are now enraged that the Florida Democratic Party led by Nikki Fried has essentially ended the primary contest, especially US Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN).  Phillips is running for president against President JoeBiden and has accused the Florida Democratic Party of "rigging" the election in a quote given to Politico.  The congressman further stated he would consider suing, and a push at the national convention if he was not at least put on the ballot.

However, somebody had already beat Phillips to the punch.  A Tampa attorney is now suing the Florida Democratic Party for omitting primary challengers from the primary ballot.  Michael Steinberg, a former chair for the Hillsborough County Democratic Executive Committee and former candidate for Congress and the Florida Legislature filed the suit.

In the federal lawsuit, Steinberg claims the decision violates the constitutional rights of voters by excluding Phillips in an "arbitrary" fashion and violates people's due process and equal protection rights.  Steinberg has also insisted that Phillips is a legitimate candidate, making it unethical for him to be disqualified off the ballot for political reasons.

"He has appeared on numerous television news programs and his candidacy has been discussed by multiple media sources including television, print and social media," Steinberg says in his lawsuit. "The Florida Democratic Party cannot dispute the Democratic Party credentials of Congressman Dean Phillips. His platform is consistent with the platform of the Democratic Party, he is currently a member of Congress, and has mostly supported the position of President Joe Biden."

Steinberg also noted that the Democratic party in Florida has a "non-discretionary duty to prepare and approve a list of all recognized Democratic Presidential candidates, not just the ones they favor or choose."

Other candidates such as famous internet personality, Cenk Uygur and author Marianne Williamson have threatened litigation against the Florida Democratic Party for being disqualified off of the primary ballot.  These candidates have additionally raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for their campaigns.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has bet his massive grassroots 2024 presidential campaign on winning Iowa, banking on the tens of millions of dollars he transferred over from his 2022 gubernatorial reelection campaign to his Never Back Down PAC, in hopes of mounting a winning door-knocking campaign.

At first, the money spoke volumes and momentum seemed insurmountable with NBD steamrolling across Iowa’s plains and touching just about every registered Republican voter.

According to the PAC, which is under scrutiny along with the DeSantis campaign for potentially colluding with one another, it has hit 812,00o doors in Iowa, 968,000 homes in South Carolina, and 385,000 doors in New Hampshire.

These are big grassroots numbers, but the ground game DeSantis and his supporters have put together has failed to move the needle in any of the public opinion polls conducted within the early voting states.

Now, with less than a month before Iowans caucus to choose the next Republican presidential nominee, DeSantis’s unmatched ground game facing more political challenges.

Not only does DeSantis have to deal with the existing and unwavering support for former President Trump, but he is now being challenged by Ambassador Nikki Haley.

Gov.Ron DeSantis

Back in October, after DeSantis rebooted his campaign (again), a large group of present and former staffers of DeSantis’s administration converged on Ankeny, Iowa to lend a helping hand to the fledgling presidential campaign.

Several members who traveled to Iowa told The Floridian that they traveled on their dime, but that knocking on doors for DeSantis seemed futile because of the overwhelming support for former President Trump they were receiving.

DeSantis Rising in Iowa

“We are in big trouble,” said one source who spoke to us on the condition of anonymity.

The concerns from one of DeSantis’s core supporters who spent a whole weekend interacting with voters, echoed the poll results of the Iowa St. Civiqs poll taken that very weekend in Iowa.

DeSantis was only garnering 16 percent of Iowa Republicans surveyed, while President Trump held a commanding 55 percent support.

An NBC News. Des Moines Register poll, which historically has been seen as the gold standard for gauging how Iowans could potentially vote, showed DeSantis with only 16 percent support and Trump with 43 percent support.

Trump lost support because Ambassador Nikki Haley has begun to surge. In those two polls, Haley garnered 11 and 16 percent support, respectively.

“People underestimated the core support [for Trump],” said a Republican field operative who worked on the pro-DeSantis effort in an early state, noting that “everyone pinned their hopes” on the door-knocking effort being able to move the polls. “And it could not be overcome.”

Since those two Iowa-centric polls were conducted in October, Trump has soared, opening up his overall average of support over DeSantis from 16 percentage points to 34 percentage points.

Considering how fluid American politics can be, there is still a good chance DeSantis finishes a respectable 2nd place if the ground game can overcome the Haley surge.

Both DeSantis and Haley have resumed their campaigning in Iowa this week.

The gutter politics war being waged between the presidential campaigns of Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and former President Donald Trump (R) has been nothing less than the biggest spectacle of the 2024 Republican presidential primary race. The America First Policy Institute is a group closely associated with Donald Trump in terms of its policy positions and outward appeal toward Trump voters.  But things shook up when the group expanded into Florida and quickly gathered prominent Florida Republicans in their corner.

The Florida chapter of America First Policy Institute announced that former state Attorney General Pam Bondi (R-FL) will lead its Florida chapter.

"At a time when our communities value safety, opportunity, and freedom more than ever before, the commitment of the America First Policy Institute to Florida demonstrates a determination few entities are willing to consider these days," said Bondi. "As we look to better the lives of all Floridians, I’m honored to be able to contribute to AFPI’s efforts to help the state continue to flourish and further the America First movement."

"America First Policies proved to work at the national level, and they are working in dozens of states across our country,” said Brooke Rollins, AFPI’s president and CEO.“From high crime rates and homelessness to businesses and families struggling to make ends meet, we believe now is the time for the people to demand proven policies that can get the state back on the right track."

Rollins also stated that Florida is already a model for conservative governance, but the new chapter wants to "make it better and continue to help Florida model for the country what fighting for freedom looks like under an America-First banner."

While the move may look uniting to conservatives, it is crystal clear that Trump and DeSantis have two different visions of what conservative governance means to them.  With Pam Bondi seemingly joining Trump's circle, Team DeSantis should now be noting Florida as a possible toss up state in the upcoming Republican primary election.

Colorado is quickly finding itself in isolation as other states are rejecting a 14th amendment challenge to President Donald Trump (R). Michigan is the latest state to reject booting President Trump from the 2024 ballot. This comes after California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) commented that President Trump should be defeated in the polls.

In response to the Colorado Supreme Court ruling to remove President Trump from the ballot, Governor Newsom released a statement, saying that “there is no doubt that Donald Trump is a threat to our liberties and even to our democracy. But in California, we defeat candidates at the polls. Everything else is a political distraction.”

California’s Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kounalakis (D) supports removing President Trump from the ballot.

This week, Michigan’s Supreme Court rejected an appeal that would bar President Trump from the 2024 ballot based on section 3 of the 14th amendment.

The decision upholds a Michigan’s Court of Appeals ruling earlier this month that also rejected an appeal filed by the watchdog group Free Speech For People on behalf of a group of Michigan voters.

The Republican response to Colorado's decision has been swift as Republican lawmakers have joined forces to draft a bill that would remove President Biden from the ballots in Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Georgia.

Pennsylvania Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R), Arizona Rep. Cory Mcgarr (R), and Georgia Rep. Charlice Byrd (R) are drafting the bill, and in a statement, they explained why they are pursuing the removal.

The lawmakers shared that “the absurdity of radical Democrat judges removing Donald Trump from the ballot in Colorado will be a stain on the American political system for decades. By their very own interpretation of the law, Joe Biden is 100% not eligible to run for political office."

“Democrats’ insane justification to remove Trump can just as easily be applied to Joe Biden for his ‘insurrection’ at the southern border and his alleged corrupt family business dealings with China," they added.

Because Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis decided to run against former President Donald Trump in the 2024 Republican presidential primary race, no love is lost between the two men, as the amount of disdain that is spewing out from both camps against each other is almost Biblical.

President Trump has been targeting Gov. DeSantis since before he announced his presidential run for office earlier this year.

Sources close to the Trump campaign say that the former president loathes DeSantis and his lack of “loyalty.”

The attacks against DeSantis have ramped up over the past several months as Trump’s surge in all the public opinion polls has elevated his primary election status to almost unbeatable status.

It hasn’t always been this way between Trump and DeSantis.

We all can remember when both men would trip over each other in praise before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The lovefest between Trump and DeSantis was almost nauseating, at least to Progressive Democrats who were very bitter that Trump defeated Hillary Clinton, and DeSantis beat uber-Progressive Andrew Gillum.

Donald Trump on Ron DeSantis

Many of you will not remember Trump’s grandiose tweet of support for DeSantis during his first congressional race in 2012.

I do because I was probably the only reporter to write about it for our Shark-Tank website.

In 2012, Trump was simply a billionaire land developer with TV personality status.

His endorsement didn’t really go far then, but speaks volumes now after he catapulted himself to be the undisputed leader of the national Republican Party and kingmaker to Republican candidates for elected office.

Trump tweeted our story here, listing DeSantis’s accolades and calling him “very impressive.”

Ron DeSantis, Iraq vet, Navy hero, bronze star, Yale, Harvard Law, running for Congress in Fla. Very impressive

At the time, Trump told me he was not ruling out a run for office as an Independent candidate, but said he would probably stay in the Republican Party.

He did just that and thee rest is history.

Iowa’s Caucus is on January 15, and New Hampshire’s primary election is January 23.

Republicans are now seeking to remove President Joe Biden (D) from ballots in Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania. Three Republican lawmakers from the states have announced that they are drafting a bill to remove President Biden from the respective ballots.

The effort comes after the Colorado Supreme Court ruled that President Donald Trump (R) would be removed from the Colorado Republican primary ballot. The decision received widespread panning from Republicans across the country, and it has also received criticism from members from across the aisle.

As California Democrats looked to follow suit, California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) relayed a message to his fellow Democrats, saying that “there is no doubt that Donald Trump is a threat to our liberties and even to our democracy, but in California, we defeat candidates at the polls. Everything else is a political distraction.”

The three Republicans that are drafting the bill to remove President Biden from the ballots are Pennsylvania Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R), Georgia Rep. Charlice Byrd (R), and Arizona Rep. Cory Mcgarr (R).

In speaking to Breitbart News, the Republicans commented that they “are joining forces to introduce legislation to REMOVE Joe Biden from the ballot in Georgia, Arizona, and Pennsylvania.”

“The absurdity of radical Democrat judges removing Donald Trump from the ballot in Colorado will be a stain on the American political system for decades. By their very own interpretation of the law, Joe Biden is 100% not eligible to run for political office,” they explained.

Should President Biden be removed from the primary ballots, it would be difficult for President Biden to win the nomination as all three states are crucial in the election process.

“Democrats’ insane justification to remove Trump can just as easily be applied to Joe Biden for his ‘insurrection’ at the southern border and his alleged corrupt family business dealings with China,” the lawmakers added.

President Donald Trump (R) continues to soar in all of the state and national public opinion polls as the country inches toward the upcoming Iowa Caucuses and the First in the Nation primary elections.

Despite his impending lawsuits and battles to stay on the ballot, Republican voters continue to prefer President Trump over his Republican challengers.

The most recent Yahoo News poll has the former president polling at 56 percentage points. This puts Trump ahead of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) by 41 points and Ambassador Nikki Haley (R) by 46 points, respectively.

Almost every national poll seems to have one common denominator – Trump in the lead anywhere from 30 to 50 percentage points. The latest Fox Business poll has Trump ahead of the pack by 34 points, while the latest Quinnipiac poll has the former president sitting at a comfortable 56-point lead.

Another recent poll conducted by Saint Anselm College has a more closely contested contest. According to the poll, Trump is ahead of Ambassador Haley by only 14 points.

With the Iowa Caucuses less than a month away, officially kicking off the 2024 presidential election cycle, Trump continues to hold a strong lead in the Hawkeye state. Trump’s Real Clear Politics (RCP) average polls lead has him sitting at a commanding 32.7 percentage points.

2024 GOP Presidential Primary

Similarly to Iowa, the state of New Hampshire holds a critical role in choosing the candidate-elect as they will hold the first traditional primary in the country on January 23, 2024. Trump currently has an RCP average lead of 21.5 percentage points.

Historically, the New Hampshire primary has often predicted who the candidate-elect will be. Since 1976, every Republican candidate who has won New Hampshire’s primary has gone on to win the party’s nomination except for two (Pat Buchanan and John McCain).

With the New Year forthcoming, a 2024 presidential year awaits us. While the current polls preview a future Trump nomination bid, the American people will soon get their say, as all eyes turn to Iowa and New Hampshire. The Iowa Caucus will take place on January 15, 2024.

Florida has become a haven for conservatism in recent years.  Now, the state is reacting to the recent news of President Donald Trump (R) being removed from the ballot in Colorado.

This week the Colorado Supreme Court ruled that Donald Trump being removed from the ballot in the 2024 election would be constitutional under the Insurrection Clause.  Trump's legal team is already working on appealing the decision before the United States Supreme Court where the decision is thought to be over turned.

Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) stated on X in response to the decision, "The Left invokes 'democracy' to justify its use of power, even if it means abusing judicial power to remove a candidate from the ballot based on spurious legal grounds. SCOTUS should reverse."

US Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) likened the decision by the Colorado Supreme Court to Communist dictators, "Liberal activist judges in Colorado are following the same playbook as Maduro and Castro. Democrats’ gross attempts to silence or disenfranchise American voters will never stand."

US Rep. Vern Buchanan (R-FL) echoed the same sentiments as his fellow Republicans, claiming the decision is antithetical to America's democratic values, "Free and fair elections are the hallmark of a well-functioning democracy. However, in a truly unprecedented decision, liberal judges in Colorado just decided to unilaterally remove Donald Trump from the Republican primary ballot.   This opinion from the Colorado Supreme Court is un-American and will disenfranchise millions of voters. Regardless of your political ideology, everyone should be concerned about the potential ramifications of this chilling decision and the ability of four partisan judges to silence the will of the American people."

Now that Colorado has been the first state to remove Trump from primary ballots, expect another state to follow suit.  With multiple criminal cases pending, Donald Trump will have to fight just as hard in the courtroom as he will on the campaign trail.

During every Republican presidential primary election, candidates seeking to win the GOP presidential nomination always, always seek the support and endorsements from the ever-important evangelical vote, and in the 2024 sweepstakes, both former President Trump and Governor Ron DeSantis are trying to out-Jesus one another in the pivotal Iowa Caucuses.

Gov. DeSantis’s campaign came out singing Hallelujah the loudest, courting Iowa evangelicals on Day 1 and eventually garnered the endorsement of Bob Vander Platts, an influential pastor.

DeSantis also rolled out the support of about 150 local faith leaders, but he was quickly countered by President Trump, who has not rolled out 300 Iowa faith-based leaders.

"President Trump is the clear choice for people of faith in America. Unlike other politicians, when President Trump promises he will do something, he keeps his promises,” said Pastor Jamison Plank from Henry County, Iowa. “President Trump has an unmatched record of defending family values, promoting religious freedom, and championing moral clarity and biblical authority."

By garnering a significant amount of support from the evangelical community in Iowa, President Trump continues to steamroll Gov. DeSantis and the rest of the field of candidates, as a new Iowa-centric Fox Business public opinion poll shows the former president leading both DeSantis and Ambassador Nikki Haley by 34 and 36 percentage points, respectively.

In New Hampshire, the first primary election state, Haley has surged past DeSantis, who is in single digits but is still 14 points down from Trump.

Nationally, Trump’s surge continues to spike. The four latest national polls by Quinnipiac, Yahoo News, Economist/YouGov, and Morning Consult, show Trump leading Haley and DeSantis by 41 to 56 percentage points.

After the shocking and unprecedented ruling by the Colorado Supreme Court to bar former President Donald Trump (R) from the state primary election, the other Republican presidential candidates have condemned the decision from the Centennial State's highest court.

The state supreme court used the 14th Amendment which states that candidates can be withheld from running for office if they "have engaged in insurrection or rebellion" against the United States.

The 14th Amendment was originally designed to keep former Confederate officers from obtaining power in the Union government.

According to Ballotpedia, the Colorado Supreme Court is the 16th most liberal court in the United States. It does not have a single right-leaning justice. All justices are either considered an “Intermediate,” a “Mild Democrat,” or a “Strong Democrat.”

Furthermore, Justice Monica Márquez became the first Hispanic woman and openly gay justice for the state supreme court in 2011.

Candidate for President Vivek Ramaswamy (R) went as far as to say he would withdraw from the Colorado primary if President Trump doesn’t appear on it as well.

“I pledge to withdraw from the Colorado GOP primary ballot until Trump is also allowed to be on the ballot, and I demand that Ron DeSantis, Chris Christie, and Nikki Haley do the same immediately - or else they are tacitly endorsing this illegal maneuver which will have disastrous consequences for our country,” said Ramaswamy.

Florida Governor and presidential candidate Ron DeSantis (R-FL) reposted a video from Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) of a bunch of bananas dancing – alluding to a banana republic – and mentioned that the Supreme Court should reverse this case.

“The Left invokes ‘democracy’ to justify its use of power, even if it means abusing judicial power to remove a candidate from the ballot based on spurious legal grounds. SCOTUS should reverse,” said Gov. DeSantis.

President Trump himself called it a banana republic in an all-caps rant on Truth Social.

“BIDEN SHOULD DROP ALL OF THESE FAKE POLITICAL INDICTMENTS AGAINST ME, BOTH CRIMINAL & CIVIL. EVERY CASE I AM FIGHTING IS THE WORK OF THE DOJ & WHITE HOUSE. NO SUCH THING HAS EVER HAPPENED IN OUR COUNTRY BEFORE. BANANA REPUBLIC??? ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!” said Trump.

Additionally, former South Carolina Governor and presidential candidate Nikki Haley (R-SC) mentioned that she would “beat him fair and square.”

"I will tell you that I don’t think Donald Trump needs to be president. I think I need to be president. I think that’s good for the country," Haley told reporters after a campaign event at Corn Belt Seed Solutions, according to the Des Moines Register. "But I will beat him fair and square. We don’t need to have judges making these decisions, we need voters to make these decisions."

Finally, former New Jersey Governor and presidential candidate Chris Christie (R-NJ) said that the voters should prevent Trump from becoming President, not the court.

“Donald Trump should not be prevented from being President by any court. He should be prevented from being President of the United States by the voters of this country,” said Gov. Christie.

The Colorado GOP said they would change the electoral process to a caucus if President Trump cannot appear on the ballot, effectively allowing him to run in the state again.

The Colorado Supreme Court ruled that former President Donald Trump is disqualified from appearing on the ballot, sparking outrage across the country from prominent Republican lawmakers. Representative Cory Mills (R-FL) gave deeper insight on the ruling in a recent appearance on Fox Business's Mornings with Maria, saying the timing is oddly convenient for the Bidens as the House intends to hold Hunter Biden in contempt of Congress for not appearing at a closed-door testimony.

Rep. Mills called the Colorado Supreme Court's ruling "unprecedented again," referencing the levying of new indictments against Trump when the House dug up dirt on the Bidens.

"Look at the timing of this, where every time Hunter Biden becomes the front stage, whether it be his refusal and potential contempt of Congress, they always do something to come after President Trump, the frontrunner for the presidential elections in 2024," said Rep. Mills.

In August, Trump was indicted a third time shortly after the closed-door testimony of Hunter's former business partner Devon Archer, which Mills said was intentional.

Host Maria Bartiromo asked if the U.S. Supreme Court would rule on the Colorado decision. Mills said Trump's defense lawyer Alina Habba "just basically said that they were going to go ahead and make sure this gets filed," adding that the Court "does need to move on this."

The conversation turned to Hunter Biden, who was recently spotted leaving Marine One (the Presidential helicopter) despite not being on the official passenger log. Bartiromo pointed out the irony in the lack of coverage regarding the House's investigation into the Bidens, which Mills reiterated was on purpose.

"If you go back and look historically, since we started investigating Hunter Biden, Jim, Haley, and his entire Biden crime family, which Joe is directly or indirectly related to in regards to money laundering, you will see that the day hat any of those, whether it be [Tony] Bobulinski or any of those who testified, you saw indictments the next day. Now you have got it where Hunter is going to be held in contempt of Congress, which [Representative] James Comer (R-OH) and the Oversight Committee are moving forward with, now you have the Colorado ruling. Again, this is a way to go ahead and take over the mainstream media airwaves so that they can try not to air what's going on when it comes to Hunter Biden and his corrupt Biden crime family," Mills concluded.
