While veteran political operative, Roger Stone is known in certain political circles as the “Prince of Darkness” or as a “political trickster,” everyone agrees with the perception that he is a loyal supporter of former President Donald Trump.
During an exclusive interview with The Floridian, Stone was asked if President Trump was being perceived as an unfunny “grump old man.”
Stone asserts that Trump has a “great sense of humor.”
“I think he's got a great sense of humor. You know actually, the thing that's most amazing to me is how he hasn't changed at all I've known him for 45 years,” said Stone. “I traveled with him for four days last week. we went to Iowa Las Vegas and also California. It's like being in a place 40 years ago and not returning to that place and then when you do go back everything's exactly the same.”
Stone divulged some insight on who President Trump is as a person, calling him an “even-tempered” and “easygoing” person who is at his best when he is under pressure.”
“He's very even-tempered. He's very easygoing. He's very resolute. He's very determined. If I were under the kind of attack that he's under now, and I have been under this kind of attack and I remember very distinctly some very very dark days. He's a happy warrior. He's at his best under crisis. His mood is extraordinarily good considering what they're trying to dump on him.”
Stone adds that Trump will stay in the race until the very end, regardless of how many indictments they wield at him.
“He's just a fighter by nature and he will never ever quit. There's no circumstance under which he’ll get out of this race. ”If he has to run for president from a prison cell knowing that the American people are the jury and that they can and will free him, he'll do that,” added Stone.
